Biodiversity was part of our development plan at BCK.
In 2002, we planted the perimeter of our site with 2,500 native broad leaf trees and berried shrubs, then we created 2 large ponds, all for the conservation of native flora and fauna. This went hand in hand with our goal to created a dog utopia, a visually interesting and secluded wild garden for the cats, and an appealing working environment for our employees, whatever the season.
We now have a living landscape, a mosaic of habitats which will allow wildlife to re-permeate the wider landscape. This alongside our waste management policy, allows us to be both mindful of the environment, and help to reduce our carbon footprint.
